It's March, the sun is out and the temperatures are over fifty. Oh I know, I grew up here, we aren't out of the woods yet, but it sure feels good to not have to wear a jacket outside. Even if it's just for a day or so.
Weather aside, it's been a pretty fantastic winter. I turned 40, had an amazing birthday party, took a trip to the Matthew Healeyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05422108550939442455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7646054555174987080.post-23764172983459438122014-12-03T12:51:00.000-05:002014-12-03T12:51:12.442-05:00Quick Update - Few Recent FramesDon't have much to say just wanted to share a few photos. One of my hobbies is buying and selling antiques. I eventually decided to turn my camera on some of the more interesting people I have met.
This is Joe Pick.
I first met Joe at a yard sale he was having on the south shore of Massachusetts. The sale advertised tons of merchandise to pick through. I Hope.
If you live pretty much anywhere in the United States then you know that this winter has not been a kind one. Arctic temps, brutal storms, you know, winter. Well it's slowly, very slowly on it's way out and I have decided to do a little look back on some photos I shot. From routine storm coverage, spot news, a lot of hockey and a thing called The Donkey Show. Back in September I asked my friend Sarah, who works for Mayflower Brewing Company in Plymouth, Mass, if I could take some photos of the brewing process as a personal project. I am a total beer geek and have friends that brew their own beer but have never seen the process on a larger scale.
A few days later Sarah arranged for me to meet with Head Brewer Ryan Gwozdz. Actually that's not true, I did take a few photos of my cats with my pad. I am embarrassed to admit that I have even used my ipad camera but at least it was for cat photos.

So after I was done googling them all I drove to The Dunk (Dunkin Donuts Center) and got my credential.

It's been quite a year. Celebrated my first wedding anniversary, worked with some fantastic new clients, did a little travelling, and worked with and photographed some amazing and inspiring people. Though the work still has it's ups and downs I am still happy to be doing what I love.

The occupation aspect of it is over, for now. The camp is long gone, Dewey Square is no longer a big mud patch. The green space was re-sodded within 48 hours of the Occupy Camp being cleared. But the movement still exists. Maybe not as well centered as it was when it had a camp but they are still out there.

It's the first thing you hear when you walk into Stan's junk store in Wareham, Massachusetts. You turn the corner and there he is, sitting in his lounge chair with his winter coat, and winter mitts on, trying to watch a movie on the beat up television in the corner.
